Устройство, механически связанное с автоматическим выключателем (или встроенное в него), которое освобождает удерживающее устройство в механизме автоматического выключателя и вызывает автоматическое срабатывание выключателя.

расцепитель контактного коммутационного аппарата Устройство, механически связанное с контактным коммутационным аппаратом, которое освобождает удерживающие приспособления и тем самым допускает размыкание или замыкание коммутационного аппарата.

Примечание. Возможны расцепители мгновенного действия, с задержкой времени и т. п.

расцепляющее устройство контактного аппарата
Устройство, предназначенное механически воздействовать на удерживающее устройство контактного аппарата с целью освобождения его подвижных частей для изменения коммутационного положения.
Примечание. В зависимости от принципов действия расцепителя применяют термины: «электромагнитный расцепитель», «тепловой расцепитель» и др.
